Conscious can split into two different bodies and work independently?
As the story comes to the end, it shocks me honestly. Keanu Reeves copies his own consciousness into a carrier and transfers to a robot which named 345, the robot has it's own conscious and runs well that saved all of them from the weapon company surprisingly. But the movie shows that the robot can think as what He thinks and there is no conflict between those two subjects which can even have the same plan and cogitation.
No debut the movie gives us extraordinary thinking which declaims the functions of conscious equal to the soul and the soul is unique independently exist, but conscious can be digitally stored and modified which indicates that human maybe just a mechanical way of thinking which can challenge all religions now.
Ethics problems
All preset in the movie leads us to another question which is an ethics problem. Ethics problems always are the hardest to solve or have consensus in the real world. At the end of the movie, robot 345 become the assistant of the weapon company which can offer rich people who willing to pay a lot to get a second life that through the cloning technology and conscious transferring.
As far we can see how unfair it is, rich men get eternal life and the poor guy just follow the natural rules. It doesn't refer that natural rules are negative but criticize there will be no equal rights in human's world. When men can easily clone anything they want, it could be like that all human lives in hell. For example, if I want to get something from you, threaten and kill you can be a real torture to the target. The harder things come out that we may don't know which man could be the original one, even more, we are not able to tell the difference of definition that between replicant and original. And the serious problem which individual will be destroyed by clone technology and still have the same conscious that last longer when they alive.
The last thing is that why human can play God? We create anything we want, but there will be specific ethics restrict area that we should never touch, it would cause too much problem which we can not solve and imagine how it will become so worse. Maybe clone technology can save so many innocent lives, but I think why the natural rules being set by some unknown forces which we can't understand now that may have a really intense reason and it is so unbreakable.
Human beings always through many ways that try to find the truth and essence of this world, such as philosophy, science, religion, mysticism... In so many areas, I think there will be a path to the truth, but in such a rough journey, we still need to control our desire which wants to be a God, we can never be an Atheist, it would destroy yourself some day.
