談談我對Science Ignorance的看法

        時間感相當混亂，或許是太過於忙碌，已經不知道進入第幾週的政治學方法論課堂，只知道每次都抱著期待的心情上課，因為課堂討論的內容總是引人入勝，從各個不同文化背景、國家的同學們帶來的觀點，確實可以突破某種「單一思維」的侷限性，聽大家分享自己的想法時，猶如走入他們的世界觀，試圖了解更多超越自己本身的資訊，批判性思考的提升也有助益。

        這兩次上課的內容探討範圍相當大，從為什麼世界沒有一個政府公開調查幽浮事件，到台灣的南部冬天的空污問題為什麼從來沒有被列為重點解決目標，以及台灣的公投到底出了什麼問題？還是完全沒問題？從這些事件當中，發現了人類對於許多「事實」的理解已經不再侷限於目前的知識是否能達到，或者是否有能力探究，卻已經來到「能否探究」及「是否願意探究」的層次了。

        為什麼說已經來到這兩個層次呢？從幽浮事件看來（剛好這週換我對探討議題作出迴響，所以最後會附上我的詳文），人類很長一段時間已經統治了地球上的所有物種，所有的知識、科學、社會秩序、宗教、教育、觀念、自由意志，都建立在人的出發觀點上，人類也自稱萬物之靈，並且也相當多人並不相信外太空有生命，是一種唯我獨尊樣態。先簡單談我認為為什麼人類不願意進行公開調查，假設幽浮是一個高於我們的外星智慧生物，而且我們與他們有了交流後，他將教導我們所有有關於宇宙、知識的真相，那人類該如何自處？過去的各種層面將會遇到前所未有的的挑戰，或許已經不再是如何自處，而是人類會有什麼樣的反應。當舊有的價值觀瞬間崩塌時，結果又會是什麼？

        雖然過去的哲學家不停探討形上學的問題，也就是世界是如何組成，造物主是否存在？（意指各種宗教說的最高存在）而且也探討「知識」的範疇與人類否真的能獲取它。但是哲學探討形上學這部分走到現代因為缺少科學實證的方法，所以，哲學推論大多都不被世人採納及知悉，最慘的還是形上學被誤解為宗教信仰。然而，當人類碰觸不到答案時，往往才是在安全區與危險區的交界處生存。安全區就像完全不知道該這樣探討問題，危險區則是固有知識即將轉變的狀態，灰色交界安全區是假設答案卻無法驗證時的尷尬狀態。但是，關於這件事，灰色地帶或許才能穩定目前人類的一切，因為危險區的衝擊是快速且造成混亂的開始。這也就是我認為為什麼各國政府檯面上完全忽視幽浮事件的原因，因為不想造成人類秩序巨大的混亂。大多數人是驕傲、自居最高位卻無知的，當受不了衝擊時，後果並不是那樣簡單。

        來自英國的同學認為，探求形上學或上帝，與找到幽浮是不同的兩件事，因為他認為或許外星智慧也有屬於自己的上帝，或者是他們也正在探求這件事情。但是，我認爲他忽略了一個前面我提到的假設，也就是他們的一切高於我們。人類在地球上並沒有遇上高於我們的存在，高的意思指的是各種層面的領先。舉一個簡單例子，目前人類尚未發明出可以將實體隱形的科技，也沒有接近光速的飛行，或是超越光速的載具。以目前民間各種幽浮調查協會觀察，他們的照片證據都是在短時間內拍到的各種光影呈現的飛行載具，來無影、去無蹤。外星科技若已經可以做到這樣的程度時，試想人類的科技還落後多少？所以，依據假設，無論外星生命高於我們多少，總是比人類先進。那麼，我們對於形上學、上帝的假設，不也是高於人類嗎？我們能夠明確知道這兩者高於我們多少嗎？那又是誰創造上帝呢？明顯知道，確認外星生命與確認上帝存在已經落入同一層級的問題了。

關於Sovereignty and the UFO 的提問與反思

From the article leads some question, before that, I think it also remind us the old philosophy question. The original metaphysic of philosophy was built in how the world constructed. It meant how we get knowledge when human being built a real world which we lived in. But these questions transfer in the modern society, old questions are not as popular as we think, cause anthropocentric has already become mainstream in our perspective. German philosopher Kant said: knowledge has boundary and categories, human being always using different methods to get closer to them, but after learned some knowledge which we think, we still cannot be sure what it is really was.

It reveal the first question:「If we do some serious investigation in UFO, trying to figure out what it is, after that, will the fact of UFO breaks the fantasy of sovereignty?」

The second question:「If we find out whole fact of UFO, does it mean we just solve the question what knowledge is and how people can get knowledge?

The third question:「’’not investigate UFO’’, would it be the firewall of Modern sovereignty anthropocentric?」

UFO seems like a higher intelligence in our imagination, but in the past, people always scramble the sovereignty between God、Nature、human. There are a lot of answers, human still control their own explanation, we have「right」to do it. But now, when UFO appears, we don’t even know what it is, and some of them are afraid of UFO because technology may better than us. I think the most important will be human who lost the right of explanation. If alien better than us, our current knowledge may be overruled by higher exist. So human face the big problem of religion、knowledge、belief、reality、time and space…Now we can still control all we believe , why we have to give in? It may cause a massive chaos if current world and concept collapse in a sudden.

As the article said: When sovereignty is contested today, therefore, it is always and only among humans, horizontally so to speak, rather than vertically with Nature or God.

From Plato to rationalism and empiricism, there are lots of theory trying to explain how the world were built and how it works, it comes to the field of metaphysical questions. Most of them has a presupposition. First is ‘’God exist’’, Second is ‘’human has free will’’. Under these two preconditions, human has a source that can stand on the ground to explain everything which has its own legitimacy. In this situation, God gives man ‘’Nature Right’’ to do everything which become a common sense, for a long time, people used to see things as a straight line from their eye to the ground. It meant human lives in a field which made and were authorized by God. Naturally, human has its own right to rule every living creature in the long river of history. Gradually, human made so many rules that try to construct the world. For example：truth、ethics、beauty、society、politic、education、value… Even though there are debates about everything in our lives, but we have taken all free explanations for granted, Even we haven’t considered our way of thinking and if we got the knowledge from any solid truth.

Here comes with some questions:

First question:「Why people don’t want to look back and think our legitimacy of explanations?」

The second question:「Are there any possibility that people afraid losing the right to explain? And break the current knowledge cognition. 」

The third question:「Free will like a sword, waving anywhere you want, but does it truly existed? Or it just an illusion when people chose a different way? And how can we prove that free will is real or just a illusion?」

The fourth question:「Most of people may think that free will seem like a wonderful gift for human, but if we find out that UFO has greater technology which can control everyone’s behavior, how would people think about their lives and how to react in such cruel situation?」

The fifth question:「We live in three dimension world, if we find out how to get in to the other dimension in UFO technology, will it be a disaster? Will time and space be disturb by some bad guys?」 

The last question:「If all human being are relying on this time and space? and if we find out the secret of UFO, will it destruct our original God and ourselves, even our ‘’natural right’’?」

After all these questions, now days, human should have sovereignty to rule the world, not only the right to explain, but also formulate the specific range for people’s vision. When you ask people whether UFO or Alien exist, most answer will be negative, because most people that believe in scientific explanation, nor probability of math that indicate the chance of live creature in the universe is so high. It leads the other important question:「Scientific defined lives as all creatures on the earth, but whether all lives are same with us? Or lives may exist in any other form that we even don’t realize or recognize?」If we just see thing through one simple view, we may lose other possibility which in front of us. 

In the end, I think most people haven’t ready to accept greater intelligence being that truly exists, so, we still cannot reveal the truth of UFO or Alien issue, it may break people’s world in a sudden, no matter spiritually or physically.
